Kim McQuilken is a former NFL Quarterback, who has successfully “reinvented” himself over three very unique careers including professional sports, media & entertainment, and supply chain consulting. His roles have included:

  • QB with the Atlanta Falcons, Washington Redskins, and Washington Federals (USFL)
  • Senior Sales, Marketing, & Licensing Executive with Time Warner’s Turner Broadcasting System over a seventeen year career.
  • Executive Vice President of Media Sales & Marketing, and Licensing of Cartoon Network. This role included the direct report responsibility of over 120 team members and greater than $500 million in revenue.
  • President Sales & Marketing with Spend Management Experts (SME), a transportation optimization consultancy where he presided over the firm’s channel partnership network as well as developing the SME brand via a sophisticated Thought Leadership campaign.

Today, Kim presides over a new consultancy, The Business Quarterback, adding management bench strength to small and medium size companies.

Two year starting Quarterback. Sidelined for partial season with a broken clavicle senior year. Team MVP.

Staunton Military Academy, Staunton, VA
PG year at Quarterback and named team MVP

Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA
Starting Quarterback for all three years of eligibility:

  • Upon graduation held every career, season and game passing record
  • Senior year Lehigh awarded the Lambert Cup emblematic of the best Division ll team in the Eastern US.
  • 3-0 vs arch rival Lafayette College and first ever two-time winner of the Lehigh vs Lafayette game MVP award. The game is recognized as the most played rivalry in the history of college football.
  • Senior year voted Lehigh team captain along with LB Roger McFillin
  • Senior year Consensus 1st Team All-America Quarterback in Division ll
  • Senior year New York Times 1st team All-East Quarterback (all Divisions)
  • Senior year ECAC Player of the Year
  • Selected to play in the North-South Shrine game , The Coaches All-America game, and The East-West Shrine game (injured in North-South game and did not attend the others)
  • Inducted into the Lehigh University Sports Hall of Fame

National Football League

  • 3rd round selection (69th pick) of the Atlanta Falcons (5 years)
  • Signed as a free agent by the Washington Redskins (3 years)
